Who we are ...
ThugBusters, LLC is a family-owned business that started in Waynesville, Ohio in 2014, and after a few years in Rochester, NY, we moved our headquarters to Lynchburg VA. The owners, Dan and Lise Neville, started this when we both worked in a nursing school. Like everyone else in education, we were looking for a side hustle. Our students told us about the bad areas they had to park at their clinical education sites. We thought that perhaps we could help them out. We researched companies and products for about six months, found the best products with the best warranties, and launched.
We have been blown away by the support from the communities everywhere we went. We spent almost all of our vacation time for the first 8 years traveling around the eastern US exhibiting at about 200 consumer events. We have realized we have a lot of friends who either work odd hours or in not-so-safe areas – teachers, nurses, servers, students, real estate agents, and more – who have been afraid to walk to their cars. We have known victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, and other crimes. We have heard you, and we are on a crusade.
We take pride in listening to your needs and concerns, then recommending a solution tailored for your situation. You need to feel that you can confidently defend yourself when that awful time comes, and we’re here to help you do that.
So – after hundreds of shows and talking to thousands of people just like you, we get it.

When the pandemic hit, many shows shut down, so we focused our efforts on ecommerce. Our web site taps into the knowledge we gained
